The leading semiconductor components distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, Dalianda Holdings, announced that its subsidiary Youshang has launched a 18W Type-c PD 3.0 charger solution based on DIODES.
The 18W Type-c PD 3.0 multi-protocol fast charging charger launched by DIODES, an agent of Dalian Dayoushang, complies with the PPS specification, is compatible with the QC4 and QC4+ protocols, and provides a more accurate voltage for the output. It supports iPad Pro PD to charge 50% in 60 minutes, 100% in 150 minutes, Xiaomi Mi 8 can be charged to 100% in 95 minutes, and Huawei Mate20 Pro can be fully charged in 128 minutes.

Core technical advantages
The solution adopts a complete set of DIODES solutions: power management + output synchronous rectification + output PD3.0 protocol;
Power management chip: AP39303 adopts SOP16 package and has built-in high-voltage 700V switching MOSFET and high-voltage 100V LDO to realize the primary circuit of the power supply. The high integration of VCC greatly reduces the PCB size and simple layout. Its efficiency and EMI countermeasures adopt QR working mode and frequency control To achieve between 22K-120K, the internal use of high-voltage startup pin is compatible with the X-capacitor discharge function to make it ultra-low standby power consumption <35mW, and has more accurate OCP, OVP, OTP protection functions;
Synchronous rectifier chip: APR34709 is packaged in SOP-8 and has a built-in 60V MOSFET with two working modes: DCM and QR. The ultra-wide VCC working voltage is 3.3-16V, and its peripheral circuit only needs 6 components to meet its working needs;
Output PD3.0 protocol: AP43770/1 This protocol chip has passed the USB Association certification, and is compatible with QC4.0, QC4.0+ and PPS specifications, and can also meet the control of two MOSFETs on the output VBUS (N-MOSFET or P -MOSFET), more precise OCP, OVP, OTP functions, its package is only DFN3x3-14.
