Diodes Incorporated launches DPO2039DABQ 4-channel protection solution for in-vehicle charging
Diodes Incorporated (Nasdaq: DIOD) announced the DPO2039DABQ4 channel protection solution for USBType-C? DPO2039DABQ is specifically designed for applications including car audio consoles, rear seat entertainment devices and car charging.
The USBType-C interface has been increasingly adopted, especially by automakers who are keen to provide future-oriented ports for smart devices and other peripherals. Therefore, many design engineers are looking for simple and effective solutions to provide online protection for the data line of the USBC port.
DPO2039DABQ is part of DiodesIncorporated’s discrete data line protection series. It is used in conjunction with the CC1, CC2 and D+ and D- or SBU signals of the USBC port to protect the device from electrostatic discharge (ESD). There is an excessively high voltage or VBUS short circuit on any one, or an overheating event has occurred.
DPO2039DABQ has low insertion loss, the on-resistance is usually 300mΩ, and the equivalent capacitance is 50pF or less. This means that it has no negative impact on the bandwidth of the data line. The advanced ESD protection of DPO2039DABQ also eliminates the need for external transient voltage suppressors.
DPO2039DABQ integrates high-performance MOSFETs, gate drivers and control logic to isolate the data line when a fault condition is detected. The typical overvoltage fault detection response time is 100ns. The pre-configured thresholds for thermal shutdown are +150°C and +20°C hysteresis.
DPO2039DABQ is available now, with 3,000 pieces as the unit for bulk purchase, and each piece is priced at $0.35.
