Keysight delivers an innovative 16-port 400GE test system to verify the evolving network equipment and data center environment

March 2, 2021, Beijing, China-Keysight Technologies (NYSE: KEYS) released the new AresONE-S 400GE test system to help network equipment manufacturers and data center operators accurately verify complex hybrid 400 Gb Ethernet (GE ) And other low-speed networks and devices. Most data center operators have deployed mature technologies based on 100GE (NRZ) coding schemes. However, the advent of higher-speed Ethernet networks such as 400GE has pushed data center networks and multi-rate speed environments to adopt new hybrid signaling and forward error correction (FEC) implementations. The transition from NRZ to four-level pulse amplitude modulation (PAM4) requires testing of both encoding methods.

Keysight’s AresONE-S test system can provide 6.4 Tbps load and limit flow, and can detect and debug data transmission errors at multiple Ethernet speeds. In addition, AresONE-S also supports the synchronization of multiple systems, so that a single test system can test 25.6 Tbps network devices and equipment.

Keysight’s AresONE-S test system also provides:

· Ultra-high density 2 rack unit (RU) fixed chassis, the most efficient use of rack space.

· IxNetwork application software, as a layer 2 and layer 3 protocol simulation platform, can use a large number of network protocols and data plane traffic for end-to-end testing to test the performance of the network infrastructure.

· A single test platform supports all seven 400GE PAM4 and 100GE NRZ speeds: 400/200/100/50GE PAM4 and 100/50/40/25/10GE NRZ, so it can test various speeds and FEC methods to meet future needs.

The AresONE-S fixed rack provides two configuration options: AresONE-S-400GE QSFP-DD high-density 16-port test system and AresONE-S-400GE QSFP-DD high-density 8-port test system. Customers can first choose 4 ports for the 8-port chassis or 8 ports for the 16-port chassis, starting from the test with a small number of ports, and then can add ports and Software options to meet future testing needs.
